Sail Loot Podcast 015: SV Terrapin Provides Family Time with Lifestyle Afloat

By on February 5, 2015

Phil and Aimee Nance sat down, looked at each other, and said, “Why are we letting a nanny raise our kids?”

Between Phil’s post-doctoral fellowship at the La Jolla Institute, Aimee getting her high school teaching credentials, and an hour commute, they were left with only a couple of hours a day with their daughters Jessica, 11, and Emma, 9.  The Nances were in need of a change in lifestyle and SV Terrapin would provide it for them.

Phil had grown up sailing. The Nance family had chartered boats and gone on sailing vacations. They decided that a wonderful way to spend more family time together would be to downsize, buy their own sailboat, and go on a 2 to 3 year sailing adventure together.

The Nance family has released the dock lines, put some wind in SV Terrapin’s sails, and are living their dream lifestyle afloat.
