Sail Loot Podcast 017: Sharing the Experience with Active Captain’s Jeff Siegel, Part 2

By on February 12, 2015

The Sail Loot Podcast is back with Part 2 of an amazing conversation with Jeff Siegel of Active Captain. I know, we left you with a little bit of a cliffhanger on the last one.

There was so much good information shared during our conversation that I couldn’t leave anything out. We had been talking for over an hour, and we hadn’t even gotten to the new capabilities that Jeff and Karen are planning on rolling out for Active Captain and eBoatCards.

Jeff and Karen are amazing entrepreneurs who love cruising. The Active Captain “customers” are boaters and cruisers, yet they have found a way to give the customers what they want at the super low price of…FREE! More capabilities are being added to Active Captain and all of those capabilities will always be FREE for all boaters.

In fact, Active Captain might even offer a way for you to make a little bit of sailing money to stash in your cruising kitty.

Yesterday, Jeff and Karen talked about “The New Services Capabilities” in their weekly Active Captain newsletter.  In this Sail Loot interview Jeff goes into a little bit more detail about how “Services” came about, the road map to implementation, all of the different services that Jeff wants to integrate into Active Captain and eBoatCards, and so much more. Jeff explains it all in the Sail Loot Podcast so go ahead and take a listen!

About Teddy

I am a 37 year old that just wants to find a way to make a remote income, gather some Sail Loot and cruise the world! I have been sailing for a couple of years now, but mostly on 10 day trips as vacationing crew. I just recently took sailing to the next level by completing my Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising, and Bareboat Cruising Certifications! I am also Vice President of a Medical Consulting Company, have a Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, and have taken several Coding, Computing, and Online Business courses. It's time to share what I have learned!
