Sail Loot Podcast 028: The Pam Wall Sailing Story, Part 1

By on October 23, 2015

Pam Wall has been sailing since she was a young girl helping to race her father’s sailboats on Lake Michigan. Of course, for Pam, helping was making the bologna sandwiches and passing up the cold beers for the young men on the boat. I don’t quite think she minded. After all, she was able to hang out with these young men for hours at a time while winning sailboat races.

Eventually Pam had to leave Lake Michigan and head off to school, but that doesn’t mean that she stopped sailing. Pam didn’t really have a plan, but she knew what she wanted to do and she knew where she wanted to do it.

Pam wanted to:

  1. Sail.
  2. Be involved in the boating community.
  3. Live in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
  4. Eventually sail around the world.

After college, without any real plan, Pam took off and headed to Fort Lauderdale. She didn’t have a job lined up, and she didn’t exactly know where she was going to sleep. Let’s just say that Pam accomplished her goals.
